Vastral Pedestrian Skywalk

Portfolio Description

Ahmedabad’s first circular pedestrian skywalk built around the elevated corridor of the Metro train corridor in Vastral, has four escalators and two lifts, making it easy for pedestrians to go up from one side and get down on the other side.

With increasing traffic on SP Ring Road in the eastern part of the city, the foot overbridge (FOB) will enable pedestrians to cross roads from above the traffic.

The circular bridge provides a single overhead bridge that elegantly links all sides of the crossroad and is accessible via lifts, staircases and escalators. Elevated at 7 m from the ground with a 4.2 m wide walkway, the bridge also provides a 45 m long walkway to the metro station.

The entire bridge was designed as a steel structure to ensure its quick construction.
